Dr. Sarah Mossad is a Clinical Paediatric Neuropsychologist licensed to practice with the College of Psychologists of Ontario (CPO) currently offering virtual therapy. Dr. Mossad specializes in the following areas: anxiety (such as: separation anxiety, phobias, social anxiety and generalized anxiety), obsessive-compulsive disorder, Tourette’s syndrome, depression symptoms, behavioural difficulties, emotion dysregulation and impulsivity. She has experience working with children and adolescents with complex comorbid mental health diagnoses (For example, managing anxiety when there is also a diagnosis of ASD and ADHD, etc.) or with children and adolescents with complex medical history (For example, managing anxiety in teens with autoimmune diseases). Dr. Mossad uses a multi-modal therapeutic approach that utilizes several models of therapy: cognitive behavioural therapy, motivational interviewing, collaborative problem solving, mindfulness-based approaches, etc. as she believes it is important to adapt therapy to the individual and not vice versa. Dr. Mossad also provides Comprehensive Behavioural Intervention for Tics (CBIT) for individuals diagnosed with Tic disorders (Tourette’s, chronic motor or vocal tics, and provisional tic disorder).
